Just received my diploma from Ontario Building Officials Association for completing the required courses for designation of Certified Building Code Official...lot of work but nice diploma :)

We wanted to reach out to all our members and ask who would be interested in running a workshop or presenting business related subjects as a speaker for a series of events planned over the coming months.

The topics will be wide ranging but each event will be themed and aimed at specific audiences (and may contain more than one speaker).

The events will not be a platform just for self promotion but geared more towards sharing and educating audiences on key aspects of business life. However you would be free to promote your business after the event during normal networking activities.

We will be releasing more information about locations and times over the following weeks, but this is part of our strategy to bring the MBN offline and into local communities.

If you would like to be considered for selection as an MBN speaker or workshop presenter please drop me an email with an outline of your typical agenda/subject/timeline. All events will be held at key locations and in quality venues.

We look forward to working with and meeting members of the MBN over the coming months.

We're really interested to learn what type of workshops members enjoy attending and why? Also do you like to participate or just listen and learn during workshops?

Finally, should workshops contain an element of networking and self promotion?
