Senior Instructional Designers (SID) are well-rounded professionals with experience in multiple areas of courseware development and strong client-facing skills. You understand how to effectively teach through different delivery methods so that the learner is engaged and active in the learning process. A strong instructional design background, with a strong emphasis on creating needs assessments and ensuring courseware meets the client and courseware goals, is a must. The SID is responsible for using principles of adult learning theory, appropriate learning technologies, and industry best practices for instructional design to plan, design, and develop web-based, virtual, and classroom-based training. The SID will also play a key role in collaborating with sales on the initial engagement and with subject matter experts, graphic designers, software developers, and quality assurance personnel to ensure the highest level of quality in final products. Military or defence experience is desirable. Candidates must be able to pass an enhanced security check and must live in Canada.
